Wildlife in Bandhavgarh National Park

There are 22 and more species of mammals and  up to 250 species of birds. Ordinary Langers and Rhesus Macaque represent a group of monkeys. Carnivores include Asiatic Jackal, Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Gray Mongoose, Striped Hyena, Jungal Cat, Leopard and Tiger. Theartiodactyls commonly seen in wild boars, spotted deer, Sambar, Chausingha, Nilgai Chinkara and Gaur. In the distance, turbulence rises as it enters a huge waterfall known as Dhuandhar.

Jabalpur: An amusement park and capital of the Gond Kings in the 12th century, Jabalpur later became the seat of the Kalchuri dynasty. Today Jabalpur is an important administrative center, busy with commercial activity.

The average annual rainfall is 1,173 mm which is very helpful during the rainy season (mid-June to September). Temperatures range from 42 C in May and June to about 4 C in winter, and summer coats of natural colors are best from March to May. Sunglasses and sunhats are best.
